- slip casting

Normally, you use plaster molds to cast porcelain in. I have experimented with slip casting without using plaster. Instead I have been using other materials that can absorb the liquid from the porcelain slip. Available materials, I can use again for new molds or other purposes.

For me, it is about a holistic approach to my work, where I take responsibility for what I put into the world and how I produce it. I am trying to use fewer resources. Through studies of alternative methods of shaping, firing and materials, I have tried to make my practice less vulnerable to major changes in nature and society. Through this, I have also achieved an artistic expression that I could not create with traditional techniques.
